Heard Trinity County testing a new automated dispatch service on the main sheriff office channel today. Went something like this "Assistance needed at the DA office, officers respond immediately" (recorded voice) followed by "this was just a test" by the normal dispatcher. Then later heard "Assistance needed at the Probation Office, officers respond immediately" again followed by "this was just a test".

Trinity County is a small county to have need of an automated system, but maybe they are installing some kind of panic button system in the county offices.

Not much different if at all from Varda alarms. Navasota PD had some set up at problem businesses with burglaries back in the day, something like “back door alarm zone 4” and they knew where these were….it’s been ages since I heard those.

I remember they tested this in Grapevine a few years ago on PD2. Never ended up sticking.
