Hi all. I am trying to monitor Trinity Torrington with my programming based on the RR db, SDS 100/200. I can copy all the TGs except Trinity Torrington. No problem with Hunters, Trinity Waterbury and all the other services. I’m basically ar 202 and 219, and of course I’m on the most recent firmware. I’ve tried this on the main db and using the main db to program a Favorites list with the Torrington CCs and only the Trinity Torrington Tgs. I’ve brought the -100 with me into Torrington but Murphy law, no EMS calls at those times. The CCs are full scale strength. Suggestions?

I am in the North End of T-Town and have a fairly weak signal through DSD. I have to crank the gain up to like 40 just for it to hold a decent signal, but it drops out fairly often. I'd like to say that their radio equipment just sucks, but I don't know enough to make that assumption. However, I am not surprised you're having issues with their system.

PC2: That's odd because I can get a slight signal in Granby on the Marcus Torrington site using the CC on 451.9625. It is enough to decode the site info but not to follow the voice at all.

M: I would think programming to be the issue with good reception of the site and not getting one specific talkgroup.
Are you hearing other talkgroups on the Torrington Site? try adding 461.6750 LCN 935 and see if you get more traffic.
I am possible going to be somewhere later where I can try to run the site mobile.

Unfortunately I live in a valley. Can't even get the B site in Winsted or the L site on Soapstone mountain without cranking gain up. Oh well, at least I can listen at all I guess. L site would be pretty cool to receive though.

Went up to one of the spots I monitor from and copied Marcus Torrington via DSDPlus FL.
451.9625 - LSN 317, LCN would be 158. This is the current Control Channel and they rarely change.
461.6750 - LSN 1871/1872, LCN 935 voice channel
461.8125 - LSN 1893/1894, LCN 946 voice channel
TG 6685973 confirmed

This site has almost no traffic on it. Over 30 minutes, Trinity talked only twice and no other talkgroups were used

The OP mentioned, however, that he is hearing other TGs just not Trinity Torrington. I wonder if he accidently locked the specific TG out.
He should review his lockouts to make sure.

My question was related to his statement that he could hear Hunters Ambulance. I very much doubt there are many Hunters rigs operating on the Torrington Site.
Anyway, Trinity Torrington was seen on Avon today but, like many other systems, it depends on the affiliations. No radio affiliated on a specific talkgroup, it is not retransmitted on that site.

Thanks all for the comments and suggestions. Let me clarify some things. I can copy all of the EMS/Medical tgs via the Main HDN db except 6685973 Trinity Torrington on the Homeland Defense Network. I do not have them avoided/locked out. I've set FL to include just the Torrington CC and Trinity Torrington TG and another with all the sites and only the Torrington TG. I'm not quite sure why CG referenced the Marcus Statwide Torrington site when I only see one unrelated TG listed on the db. Hunters and Trinity Waterbury come in through the Avon site. Antenna is a 6 el 450 yagi pointed west. Perhaps I'm just in a dead spot.
