Duplicated a system and added select TGs to the system, most of them are working fine, however at least one TG is not being received.

I've double checked all settings, scanlist, etc but can not receive it. It's coming in clear on the System I duplicated but nothing on the new system.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Multiple towers makes me wonder if you are listening to a different tower, that does not have an affiliated user on that TG.

I had similar problems and only solution where to change the TG number and name to something that wasn't used in the system and lock it out and create a new record with the correct TG. Sometimes I have been forced to abandon a whole system and create a new one.

There are some strange memory handling in EZscam that sometimes give errors that it is writing outside of protected memory and trying to read from illegal memory locations and similar scary things. Only solution I have found have been to lock out the offending record and create a new one. I can't erase the bad data and creating a new as that seems to reuse the illegal data memory.

Assuming you are using software and going through the Talkgroup Details tab, when you added the new TG's, did you specify the correct scanlist? (Usually lumped the same scanlist as the other tg's).

If you whip through one like I did and just click on SET, it put my new stuff in the default #1 scanlist.

So of course when I was scanning my newly programmed system, it never heard one of my new TG's, because that TG was set for scanlist #1, which I had turned off!

Went back in and fixed the pointer to the right scanlist, and now the TG works.

just some thoughts ...

Heh, I just had that happen when I went into a frenzy of new owner programming to check it all out, creating, moving, modifying things, kicking the tires etc. Had TG's just disappear from the system talkgroup details listing.

But I *think* it was my doing - mixing TG management from the Scanlist tab, changing scanlists pointers there, and then doing fun things in the trunked system talkgroup details tab.

See my lunatic rambling about it here.

I think that somehow I was creating a circular reference, or prehaps breaking a data connection by deleting scanlist memberships that had been moved, using the same name for sites, TG's etc etc.

I put the brakes on, and found stuff in scanlists that I think I forced there by some frenzied changes on my part. Still working on it, and Whistler has my archived data file to laugh at. (They actually jumped on the issue, so kudos to them for that)
