• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

New to the radio world and forum, but I'll give this my best shot explaining my issues.

I have the 1.2 version of the IC-3060 software that seemed to have been working fine. I have the radio set to LMR/LTR, and my conventional banks operate fine. Now the issue begins.

I have a work system I'm trying to program, but I have no idea how to properly program in the talk group IDs. They are listed as such:

"
0-01-101 A TC Dispatch
0-01-102 A TC GuestSvc
0-01-106 A TC Maint
0-01-113 A TC Fac Maint
0-06-101 A TC 24-hr Sec
0-06-102 A TC Housekpng
0-06-109 A TC Catering
0-06-110 A TC Media "

My other issue is, when I attempt to load in a profile from a coworker's same radio model, even with regular conventional banks programmed, my radio reads "EMPTY" when it powers back up. When I try to copy the LTR data into my profile, the first bank is the trunked system, and will flash the screen and play static, and when I switch banks the radio ignores the bank completely until I recycle the power.

My radio is a 4061S, 400-470 w/UT-119 board installed, same with my coworker's radio. Any help to get me pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone make a 2-pin adapter for this radio? The headset I want to use with this is the older 2-pin style, and I know motorola makes an adapter for it, but cant find anything for the Icom =(

Icom makes an adapter, the AD52.

However I belived it is for listen headsets only, and does "break" the IP55 rating when in use.
