Let me preface this by saying I am authorized to broadcast on the frequencies I am working with.
I work as a paid ski patroller and my mountain has a VHF and UHF radio system. VHF is for volunteer ski patrol and UHF is for mountain staff (lift operators, office staff, paid ski patrol).
I have a personally owned Baofeng UV-5R that I am trying to setup so I no longer need to carry two radios at work.
I am using Chirp to program the radio and have gotten it to receive perfectly on all of the channels we use.
My radio will not transmit a voice over any of the frequencies though. I say voice specifically because my testing with mountain owned radios shows that with both the VHF and UHF radios their receive LED will turn on when I key my mic but nothing comes across.
Attached is a screen shot from Chirp showing how the radio is setup.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I've already spent time going through forum posts and other sites trying different things to fix this and I think I'm in over my head.
