In order to have another agencies encryption keys, your agency would need permission from the other agency to have the encryption keys in your radios. And your radios would also need to encryption feature.

I think they can encrypt, but you have to put an encryption key algorithm in it, though. But then you said about needing permission from those agencies - that's probably gonna be the problem right there. Bc they don't share it with any of the volunteer fire departments here either. And I don't know about Wood County if they would or not. I guess I'll have to just wait and see what I can do. I don't think I'd be able to do that with the mobile radio bc they don't use the same unit every day. They go to work and just pick out any car in the lot to use for that shift. I might be able to have a portable set up though.
