Hello, I will be programing a scanner for someone who is moving to Trumbull. Since I am not in the immediate area, I have a few questions about Trumbull Fire. Is their dispatch from CLMRN patched through to their low band or high band frequencies listed? The CLMRN database shows that there are operations channels. Are these channels through the trunked system only or are these talkgroups just rebroadcasting analog conventional channels back to the trunk system? If conventional analog like other departments do, are the frequencies listed as fireground in the database still correct with the new system? I did read that they have tri-band radios, which leads me to believe this is the case. I will submit new data when someone can confirm exactly how their system works.

Thanks

If you make a CLMRN system with the 5 Trumbull TGs you will hear everything. The VHF is still alive and is linked to the CLMRN Trumbull dispatch channel.
They do have VRS in some units that have the capability to do analog or digital FG to the CLMRN but it looks to be in the testing phase still

When you talk about the VHF being alive, do you mean the 155.9625MHz frequency and not the 33.560MHz one? I would think they have moved away from low-band. The scanner I am programing is analog only, so I was thinking of programing fireground frequencies that may be become active in the immediate area, but since they just use the trunked system, that of course won't work. I guess they are very confident in the coverage of CLMRN in the area. Thanks

Yes the 155.9625-DPL311 is still up and its linked to the dispatch TG...It would not surprise me if the 33.56 is still there
