When you hear traffic on it , it would be active.... And who said they are completely migrating?? That info prob wont be posted here....
I can tell you that any activity heard on it now is testing...

I would think a full migration over to a new LAPD Trunk System would be probably around 5 years. Look how long The LA-RICS system has been taking for a full roll out and it still could be a couple of years give or take. So many variables to take into account with Time - Labor - Permits - Man Power - Licensing - Approvals - Approved Trunk Sites - Tree Huggers and Budgets and so on plus the daily work that is already in place to maintain the current system as its stands. Also, the recovery from COVID pandemic with supply chain issues for the hardware to install and put into place and testing. Having the correct employee staff and knowledge is tough these days because all of the good people are already working at their currents job. Okay I will stop.

Not really. It's more to do with the radio engineers and techs that have either transferred to LADWP because of the lucrative pay, benefits, & retirement, or they took the early retirement program. I heard a statistics from the department(Info Tech Agency) that handles the radio systems & sites, that 50% of the staff will be eligible for retirement in 5 years and that was 5 years ago when I retired.

Not Quite that long.. LA-RICS is another story, but all sites are up and are licensed (As shown in the RR Database) . As per the original question for this post, that info prob wont be posted here, but rather those who have capable scanners and start hearing activity will probably figure it out....
