Trunked 800 mz, Sacramento, problem?

Hi All, I have a Trunk Tracker 800mz scanner and I listen to the Sacramento Sheriff's disptach. My problem is that sometimes I receive traffic and other times I don't recieve traffic. I feel that the transmission mode is changing but I don't know how or what the change woudl be? I have all 27 freqs encoded. When I receive traffic several of the activity lights are on, when I receive no traffic only one activity light is on. Can you tell me why my receiption is intermittant? My radio is is not the problem, another scanner I have goes on and off at the same time? Is there a fix? Thank you, Jim

I have noticed in the last few days that I have not received any transmissions from the Sac Co TRS. Up to this point I was wondering if my Trunktracker BC246T was having problems. Does anyone know for sure that the TRS changes are complete, and if so, do I need to reprogam by scanner? Thank you

It's not your scanner, per se. It's your settings (possibly). Make sure 868.9375 is not in there. That's the control channel for a new system, and is no longer part of the County TRS.

If that doesn't fix it, post again.

The TRS changes are NOT complete. The old system does seem to be having problems, including busy tones, failure to transmit on key-up, and other problems. Dunno what's causing them, but things have gotten bad (IMHO) in the past few days.

Please see the sticky at the top of the California Forum. As the systems change the info will be posted there. The changes will impact your scanning abilities.
