Question, when programming a connect plus system in a whistler trx 1 are lcn 1 say 451.000 channel 1 and 2, lcn 2 say 452.000 channel 3 and 4 ect??? same way uniden does it. Also if the system skips say ch 9 and 10 would you skip that lcn?? example system has channels 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 11,12

Do you have a TRX-x I am looking at my TRX-2 software and I only see a place to enter the frequency not a LCN. You can only enter frequencies and I have entered al listed frequencies for a system/site and mine is working great as far as I can tell.

The Whistlers don't care about the LCNs (much easier). Just enter the frequencies - order doesn't matter.

...but note that that same LCN column appears even on P25 site frequencies... It's probably just a generic widget thing for systems where programming the LCN matters (EDACS, etc.). However, from my experience, the LCNs for DMR systems do not matter to the Whistler radios...

I think the reason for this is the Whistler scanners do not use the talkgroup data in the control information as Eric Cottrell stated in another thread. They elected to use the talkgroup data on the voice channels instead. While this makes things simpler because the LCN is not needed, it may cause a delay in channel acquisition, especially on larger or busy systems.

Tom (philacop) I'm interested in seeing if the Whistler can receive Cap+ systems with RAS implemented such as the one the hotel uses near the PHL airport. I've asked countless times on the forum about if the Whistler handles RAS and received no answers.

thanks!

Does the TRX-1 have the ability to show system ID and site # like the Uniden displays in conventional mode?
