TRX-1 Repair

Does anybody have a local (anywhere sort of near Franklin) repair shop for the TRX-1? It fell off the table with the charging/data cord attached and mangled the connection in the radio. Forum and internet searches have been fruitless. It still runs but obviously I can't connect for programming or charging. Any help would be appreciated!!!

As time passes someone local is less likely to be able to repair one of these. If you don't have any luck and didn't find this yet, it should be the current # to Whistler (Goliad Products LLC).

FYI I sent a request to Scanner Master last week via the website contact function with no rersponse.

I emailed them in may and this is what i got for new keypad and have emailed 3 more times after but no informational reply. last email sent august 10th still no response.

I'm surprised at the non-response, but Scanner Master is not a repair facility.

Any luck? Post a picture, I’m curious as to the extent of the damage. The USB ports can be a pain to replace if that’s it, but only because traces like to pull up with the original part. You could get a small bag of replacement ports for around $10, but the swap does take some skill. Even if the traces do get damaged, there are corresponding test pads right behind them that could be jumped with tiny runs of wire. I purchased one not long ago that was practically brand new, but defective, only because I figured it would be a fairly straightforward repair. I actually got it working like it’s brand new.
