TRX-2 ts.00000004 error.

This TRX is brand new. The sd card works except when I am doing a back up of the files to a new folder incase anything happens to the this SD card. I get Error ts.000004gl File problem and it freezes. Been searching for a bit now and found some steps but I want to double check before i go with wiping this card. One option was to the software and do the prepare card option, Follow steps so forth. Is this the correct way to go about fixing this error before i continue. Thanks.

Have you tried the sd card outside of the TRX-2 directly in a card reader? The sd reader used in the unit is not really the best and often gives errors. That being said even outside in a separate SD card reader I still format the card before each write as occasionally, I will still get errors overwriting the current config.

My TRX's I program the scanner then disconnect the scanner.
Next I prepare a new SD Card and write to it and that is my backup.

My appolgies should have said that was using the sd card reader. Not with the sd card in the scanner. I just puchased this today and its been only turned on but the last person didn't know how to use a computer or anything so it's all default brand new from day one. So after i tested to make sure it works i pulled out sd card and only that one files ts.000004gl gives me the error. all other files go to my back up folder. Just don't want to mess something up or brick it. So making sure i am doing the steps. I havn't got to program my own playlists yet which ill do after i figure out this sd card. Just want to make sure i am not gotta wipe firmware or mess something as this is my first time playing with this. Thanks. The file name is TS0000000.Gl is corrupted and or unreadable.

Has anyone ever encountered the "Error Copying..." error? Screenshot attached. I noticed it happened the other day after I added the TACN System (Tennessee) to the scanner (attempted to) right before leaving on a trip. I clicked OK and the copying processes went ahead and finished but when...

There are different fixes and make sure you have the latest ez scan software.

There's often file coruption on the SD card of TRX scanners. It has something to do with its USB interface. I take out the SD card and program in a SD card reader and all issues with programming went away. It's still issues with file corruption but only to recorded audio files.

.ts or TS means trunked systems and it is the 4:th one that have file corruption. Don't remove that system but instead rename it to "Bad" or similar and make a new one to replace the old.

You can't brick the scanner whatever crazy things you try to do. Reformat the SD card and program it from scratch with a new database and it will probably work fine. The SD card that came with my new TRX scanner was dead on arrival and caused at lot of problems for me, being a new scanner working totally different from a Uniden that will take a while to get used to, but that SD card it came with in the box can not be formatted or initialized in any way to make it work again as a memory card.
