Trying to import RR Web Service database data to my scanner in PSRedit500, but getting an "unable to load WSDL file/location" error

I made sure my user/passwd is typed in correctly, but every time I try to import data to my scanner in PSRedit500, it just throws up an "Unable to load WSDL file/location, an invalid character was found in text content" error, so I can't import any data. How do I fix this?

This search suggests that it's a problem with a specific database entry. Is there any more detail in the error message? What are you importing? Can you narrow it down to a particular system, county, state, etc.?

The location I'm trying to import data (frequencies for local PD/Fire/EMS) from is Montgomery County, Virginia. I am not sure how to tell if a particular entry is messed up; I am still pretty new to scanning.

Conventional or Trunked? When you go to Agencies: what are you selecting in the drop down, then same on Category: and Sub Category: ?Exactly what agency selected causes the error. I have tried to replicate the error and downloaded a bunch of items from Montgomery county in psredit500 and have not received an error.

Conventional. And I can't even get to the Agencies part; it gives me the error a second or two after I click the "query RR Web Database" button in psredit500.

No issues here doing the same thing, be sure you have Version 1.93 release 17 build 20. You can see under Help and select About in Psredit500
Then while your there in Help select Check for Updates.

If you already have that version, download and reinstall.
