trying to understand trunk programming

Hello, I have a BC796D that I had put away in the closet some time ago. I never had the time to figure out programing for trunk systems. I have some time now and what to learn how to program it. I read the manual and it's kind of confusing. Is there a web site that better explains how to program a BC796D. I did manage to do the firmware update for rebanding. Thanks for the help.
