TTD & Pushover

Hi everyone,

I've been messing around this weekend with TTD 71C and Pushover. I've got things running now where all my tone sets go to the same Pushover group and that seems to be working. Is there a way to send to multiple groups though? For example... Let's say I'm monitoring 10 departments. Some subscribers want notifications for all 10 departments. Some only want 1 (or 2, or 3 etc). I can see making individual subscriptions for each department, but how do I then keep them grouped together to go to one master group? For the people that want everything I don't want to have to make them subscribe to each one individually... that's a pain in the butt. Any suggestions?

You want to create “Delivery Groups”. One for each department, and one for “All Departments”. Then each delivery group creates its own subscription URL. The way that I have done it is to create a simple web page that lists each department with the llnk to the subscription URL For that department. And one linked to the all departments url.

now you will have a group key for each department and a group key for all departments. You put both keys in the pushover key field of TTD separated by a comma (no space). Then when a tone set decodes, it sends pushes to the delivery group for the appropriate dept and also to the group for all departments.

Got it working, thanks for the help! For anyone looking to set this up in the future...

- create an APP API token and delivery group for each individual tone set
- create an APP API token and delivery group for an 'All County' group
- in tones.cfg put the specific tone set App API token in 'pushover_record_app_token'
- in tones.cfg put the delivery group token for both the specific group and the All County group in 'pushover_record_group_key', separated by a comma with no spaces in between.

@Forts I'm trying to integrate pushover with my TTD setup. I'm good on the Pushover side with the setup, but am struggling with the TTD integration. I'm using v73, so I'm unsure if the Pushover integration is still there or where it belongs in the tones.cfg file.

Unfortunately v73 is not Pushover friendly, that support was removed. I too was using 73 and I had to revert back to 71. I haven't had any regrets though, it's been working great!

I created a script called TTD Helper that adds the pushover functionality back. It also adds some other new features to TTD.

@xicarusx Very cool! I saw it one of my searches yesterday, but wasn't sure how it worked and which versions it was friendly with. I can run it with the newest v73? Thanks for giving me another angle to try. Once I make sure I have Pushover properly working for our group, that'll be my next bit of tinkering!
