I heard this afternoon some traffic on this Talk Group and sound like a fire department.

Oak Grove is East of Tulsa in Wagoner County. I am not sure it was Oak Grove I was hearing, but the do Mutual Aid with Catoosa which has 800 TRS in there Trucks. During a Structure fire this week I heard Catoosa Fire on Vhf and 800 TRS at the same time.

Will keep monitoring the TG to see what other traffic we can hear...

Catoosa is using a crossband repeater since they are dispatched by the city of Tulsa. The city of Tulsa is discontinuing VHF support to the Catoosa Fire Department and are requiring them to use the 800 MHZ system. The City of Catoosa has installed a VHF repeater so they can have coverage in the Catoosa surrounding areas and are using a crossband repeater to link to the 800 MHZ system. You will hear Catoosa on both the 800 and VHF system. The CFD has always had an 800 MHz talkgroup(35664) but they just didn't use it that much.

Wow that's great Mark! thanks for the info..I bet Tulsa get's tired of going over to a different VHF radio just dispatch Catoosa. Putting all the communications on 800 will probably be all around better in safety for the firemen and response.

I was also wondering if the city of Tulsa still plans to put another tower up somewhere on county line. I had heard that about a year from this forum.
I heard that there are alot of dead spots in Catoosa as well as Wagoner county. Any thoughts?

:D just confirmed that 28944 is Oak Grove FD. I just heard the Tulsa dispacher give out their 19:30 radio test. Oak Grove is now 800...

They have actually been doing these 19:30 radio tests for awhile now, and they also do them for Berryhill Fire and Catoosa Fire on their respective talkgroups as well. :)

Yeah I knew about the 19:30 radio tests. I probably wouldn't have been able to confirm that they were on there without it. I might also add to those who might be wondering that the pager tone sounds the same as TFD and Berryhill. I wonder is Rolling Hills will join the 800 any time soon? If they did that they that whole area would be covered and everyone could talk to each other if needed.
