Turning on PC Interface

The USB-1 cable came with a note that stated that you must turn on the PC Interface control trough the scanner menu in order for the scanner to talk to the PC. I can't find that menu item. Any help?

Which scanner are you using with the cable? If it's one of the DMA scanners, we have a summary of the steps necessary to turn on the interface here..
