If you see RAN but no system info, it is conventional repeater (or simplex), would not be part of Exelradio system.

I recorded i.e. wrote down hearing N96 activity on this frequency last Sept., but no additional info. This morning I heard a bit of weak analog voice on the channel.

Only thing I can find remotely possible in TAFL is Point to Point system in Edgar, which shows as DMR (7.6kHz). A bit of a stretch though I've heard stuff coming from Orillia lately.

Are you sure about that? Unless one is running DSDPlus, if you monitor a voice channel on an NEXEDGE96 trunked system, for instance, the only thing you get when it stops to play audiois the RAN.

So only seeing a RAN doesn't mean necessarily that is conventional, right?

I am running DSDPlus. I guess I need to go back and check what is displayed on a VC. RAN for sure, but no Network ID, Site number, and Neighbour list. I thought I was seeing RID and TG when the VC was active, will check.

In any case, doubtful it is part of the system in question as that frequency does not show up in Cdn. gov't database, but other frequencies do.

The RAN on this system is 7 if that helps. Still no SYS ID or anything like that.

Heard a bit of activity, RAN=7, signal weak here, looks like encrypted, still don't
know if it belongs to a system, or conventional.

Mtindor was right, don't see any system info on a VC itself, just TG, RID, radio alias (name) if any.

Seeing Group Call, RID = 7389

Is it possible to have both analog repeater and digital NXDN on the same repeater?

Cause I've heard both the digital with the RAN7 as well as analog with a pl of 110.9

The digital was not encrypted either. Definitely heard English digital comms.

Yes. I have heard digital and analog interspersed on the Exelradio system. I don't know exactly how they manage it, but it apparently works. The system must monitor each channel for analog signal and if present doesn't assign it for digital.
