OK I found out what I was doing wrong. I unzipped the ffmpeg.zip file and then put the whole file in the TTD file. What I discovered is you need to unzip the ffmpeg.zip file first, then open it and look for the application file named ffmpeg.exe, copy and paste that into the TTD file. Once I did that it started working.

Two tone detect

My system decodes my tones, but it doesn't email them to me and the error I keep getting is that there's no file or directory to send it through. If anyone can please help me I've been frustrated for almost two weeks trying to figure this out. There is an audio folder attached to the TTD folder but nothing is in it. I can send admin emails to myself but that's as far as it goes.

I am having what seems to be an odd issue with my two tone detect program. Let me first say it's an amazing program and I absolutely love it! However, the issue I am having is that some of my emails that I have set up on the list are not receiving the message, but some are. If I send it through the tone editor, they get them, but when the detect picks out the tone and sends it, it doesn't come through to everyone. Anybody have any ideas? It doesn't seem to matter where on the list they are either, as far as priority.

When you send via the tone editor, are you attaching an audio file? If not, it could be that the file attachment is too large or you may be sending to an SMS address instead of an MMS address. Are there any errors in the log.txt file after sending post-detection?

When I send via the tone editor I attach a previous call that the program has recorded and that goes through fine. Most users are using the same carrier and same phone as I am, all emails are set to mms message. I have not seen an error anywhere. Checking the email "sent" folder shows that it is consistantly sending to 8 emails only, I have probably 15 listed in the program. I am using gmail for the email server, could that be causing an issue?

I figured out my issue, it was user error! I tried to move the entire folder to an external hard drive, but apparently it had only copied it to the hard drive. All the changes were being made within the folder on the computer, but I was opening the tone detect from the external hard drive, so the tone.config never updated because it was a different folder lol. Thank you for creating this awesome program, I will be passing this on to other agencies in my area!!!!!

Two Tone Decoder detecting wrong tone set

I have the tones configured but is detecting the wrong set of 2 tones. At first thought maybe I set the tones wrong but this is what is set.

[Tone1]
Atone = 1222.5 ;A tone frequency in Hz
Btone = 1217.8 ;B tone frequency in Hz
Atonelength = .8 ;Length of A tone (in seconds) that must be seen to generate an alert
Btonelength = .8 ;Length of B tone (in seconds) that must be seen immediately following the A tone in order to generate an alert
Description = Station 75 ;Tone set description

This what is occurring when another set of tones is detected each time. Seems it detecting 1430.0 , 1210.0 rather than 1222 , 1217.8

1222.5 and 1217.8 can't be the correct A/B tones. They are too close together (within 1% of each other). When the program sees the 1210 tone being sent it sees that as both 1222.5 and 1217.8 and trips.

Looking at the Motorola tone table, I think 1222.5 should be 1122.5.

It looks like your problem lies in the fact that the two tones you are trying to detect are very close to the same frequency. If you have your tone tolerance set at 1% then TTD will consider a valid Atone to be anything in the range of 1210 - 1234 (that is 1222 +/- 12). Similarly, the BTone will decode if in the range of 1205-1229. The tone that the program is hearing (1215) is a valid Atone and a valid
Btone so it decodes and send the emails. There are two fixes: 1. tighten up your tone tolerance. It is going to be real hard to make this work reliably. You would have to use something like 0.3%. 2. set your Btone length to 2.5 or so. If you do this, make sure that the 1222/1217 decodes properly.

Can you also post a successful decode of your 1222/1217 tone set?

I think perhaps I was given the wrong tones. At least the other tones appear to be working correctly and gmail is also finally working right.. must have fat fingered something.

Thanks for the help :)

gmail don't like two tone?

Anybody having problems with Gmail showing the emails as spam and locking down the account for 24 hours?

"Technical details of permanent failure:
Message rejected. See http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?answer=69585 for more information."

I've sent google numerous emails about this and called a number i found and waited for over an hour with no luck.

TwoTone Issues Help!!!

So Ive been having glitches in my Version 60 TwoTone Detect. I will copy and paste what its doing after I explain. I have Multiple stations programmed into the tones file, ive checked and double checked to make sure everything is set before I ran the program. Whats happening is when a fire district gets toned out there are 2 sets of tones for 2 stations. The program sees the tones, acknowledges both sets of tones with the immediate text. But only 1 station is getting the audio file. Currently 6 separate tones are programmed into TwoTone which are all being sent to myself right now. I originally though it was an MP3 problem but it didn't make sense that the majority of the other stations were sending just fine. So I ran the Debug program for a day to see what was happening. In doing so I also changed to all stations send AMR instead of MP3. Same thing happened for the same stations and the other stations sent just fine.

Below is the beginning set of the two tones-
In an effort to keep this short I deleted most of the audio post but the set of stations was one after another then the audio-

That was the end of the set. Station 189 worked fine but station 277 has an issue. It gets the immediate text like all the other stations but the audio is never recorded and never sent. The tones format is a copy and paste for all 6 stations with the changes in the freq. But station that has never worked since I put it in. Now there was another station that did this briefly once but it has seemed to work fine majority of the time... HELP!!!

This error is indicating that TwoToneDetect isn't able to access the sound card for some reason. Whenever an valid tone set is detected, the program starts a new thread for that recording. I've found that some sound cards don't handle the multiple threads trying to access them at the same time well, and will throw errors like this. I would suggest trying a different sound card. The cheap 7.1 channel USB sound cards from ebay seem to work reasonably well, believe it or not.

The Deer Creek Fire Dept stuff is an artifact of the computer that the software was originally built on, nothing to worry about.

So if I understand you correctly your saying it cant handle 2 stations at the same time. So in an effort to fix this I can just set up one of the two stations. They always get toned out together anyways, never one of the other. But it also said this once for a station that got toned out by itself. But it was only once

Setting it up for only one station may help, but it probably won't completely solve the problem. As you've noticed, some soundcards will have problems even with a single tone set on occasion. Switching to a different sound card is your best bet to truly resolve the issue. Unfortunately I don't have any guidelines on selecting a sound card. Some are fine, others have issues. Price doesn't seem to matter.

It makes sense. Because not only am I TTD off this soundcard, but Im Broadcasting to here and Broadcasting to a channel over zello. So for now I shut off both broadcasting programs and im working on a different soundcard. Ill let you know if it works. Thanks

I have come across an issue i'm not quite sure how to resolve. I have the latest issue of TTD. I am using a Gmail account, and it was working fine, but all of a sudden the email isn't being sent out as the MMS messages anymore. I checked my actual Gmail account and the message is in the sent folder. So it's getting lost somewhere between Gmail and the actual text?
