Hi I am new to this and was wondering. I looked at NY state ploice frequencies and saw a type of BM. What are the types or where can I find a list of them and what they mean.

If these are conventional frequencies, that sounds like "Base" and "Mobile".

B = base
M = mobile
R = repeater
F = fixed

You can see the list if you just mouse over the column header, where it says "Type".
