Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Does anyone have experience with programming a TYT MD-750 DMR HT? They are fairly cheap entry level DMR HT but there's very little resources on the web about how to program. I have experience with programming DMR, but TYT's software isn't really covered with a very good help file.

Software MD-750
Version 1.1.8T

I've searched YouTube and the Google's but no clear-cut tutorial on how their software should be set up for DMR repeaters.

Here are a couple of things I'm trying to figure out:
When on a local repeater (two time slots with multiple TG's available), I'm keying up on the designated talk group, US 3100 for example. Then If I want to change to a different TG from my contacts such as World Wide 91, the talkgroup defaults back to US 3100. It never remains in the last selected TG which is frustrating. I've been able to key up on different talk groups, but the radio eventually defaults back to the primary talk group programmed into the channel.

Also, it's quite quirky on sending the code plug. If I make too many changes to my CPS, it will tell me to read the radio... Once I do that, my changes are lost. I can't simply open a CPS file and send the file to the radio; I have to read the radio first, make small changes, then send the file.

Don't have this radio, but I have always just programmed a different channel for each talkgroup in my TYTs. Never really tried to just try to change the talkgroup contact.

After you read the radio and start to make changes it's best to save the file frequently. That way all is not lost if something occurs.

Any I am on the computer working on something in any program always save every few minutes or so to make nothing is lost.

I do this often as well. However, after making edits to my code plug the software will give me this warning:

If I read the data, that wipes out all of my changes that I made.
