TYT TH-9800 Audio

I have a TYT TH-9800 and have a question that has been asked before but not quite answered before. My radio has no audio out on either side thru the speaker on the radio, however, when I plug in a earpiece or external speaker (which is how I use it now) the audio is there. My question
is has anyone found out if this is a speaker issue or a audio chip or driver issue? If a chip or driver issue could you point me toward the replacement part and diagram on the board where I need to look on the bord to replace it. My aging eyes don't let me pry into too many small places just to explore any more.

It's been several years since I programmed mine. If I recall correctly, there's a setting in the TYT cps for audio output (internal/external).
