I just purchased a tyt9800 and told i’m over modulating. Can anyone help please?

Mic Gain and Deviation

Select bandwidth to reduce mic gain (and deviation)

WIDE/MID/NARROW

There is no actual mic gain settings on any TYT radio. You can try as KB4MSZ suggested or just hold the mic a little farther away from your mouth and at an angle.
