In our database we list the University of Akron trunked system. However, new/modified licenses have been issued with different emission designators as well as five additional channels [for a total of 15 channels].
The system is here: University of Akron Trunking System, Akron, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies
We received a submission that:
1. stated that this system as it is listed in the RRDB will not track
2. provided a link to this: Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety - Radio
Is there anybody around Akron who has figured out whether this system is a Passport system? If so, what the LCNs are. Also, has anybody verified other licensed frequencies in operation on this system besides the 10 listed in the RRDB?
Here are the licensed frequencies: FCC Callsign WPRU679 Details
The frequencies used by the trunked system repeaters would be the 423/424 mhz frequencies.
If anybody has updated and verified information regarding this system, please submit the updates to the Radioreference Database by clicking on the Submit button on this page: University of Akron Trunking System, Akron, Ohio - Scanner Frequencies .
Also, if there are people actively trying to figure out the current architecture of this system, please do post here your findings so that others doing the same thing may benefit.
Thanks
Mike
