I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but, I was looking at some of the frequencies by site and all the UCAN sites are now showing what I think are new frequencies in the 820’sMHz range.

Could they be input freqs. to the repeaters? The 851 MHz band uses inputs at 45 MHz below the repeaters.

I suspect them to be part of the rebanding we are going to be going through here soon.

Wait a minute. Am I getting confused?

Is rebanding going from the 820's to something else or moving to the 820's? or

Do we know what general frequencies they are moving to?

The 820 frequencies are the inputs to the repeaters. They are paired with the output frequencies that are exactly 45Mhz higher...

All the UCAN frequencies that we monitor for public service agencies (police, fire, etc.) will drop 15 MHz during rebanding.

You can go to the 800 MHz Transition Administrator Web site, enter the FCC license number for the transmitter site (for instance, Site 03 -- Salt Lake County -- is WPRR826), and you will get a pop-up window that will list all of the current frequencies of that site plus the "new" frequencies that site will have after rebanding. If you have pop-up suppression on your computer you will have to override it.

With so many questions arising about rebanded frequencies lately, it might be a good idea to bookmark that Web site for future reference.

Yep. We expect updates, if possible, to be available 3-4 months after the first Motorola Type II system flips the switch. Actual implementation issues could affect this in either direction.

Somehow that disturbs me that we could be waiting 3-4 months.
