453.225 - CW ID'er. I doubt I'm hearing University Medical Center in Tucson from up here in Peoria, which is the only listing in the DB. Any idea of who this is in the Phoenix area?

453.550 (CTCSS 151.4) This isn't going to be Puerco Fire District in Sanders (Apache County), or Corona De Tucson Fire Department down in Pima County. It's a Phoenix area local. Any ideas?

hmmm, don't know, I found reference on the web to 3 different agencies, and I doubt they're all sharing it!
1- State - unknown user at 1616 W Adams
2- State - Old DPS freq - not in current use
3- Mesa city services

One of my old scanner freq books says 'State of Arizona, and City of Mesa' Not sure why they'd be assigned the same freq.

My guess would be an old Mesa channel vacated with the move to digital trunking, probably haven't killed the old repeater yet.

How about de-coding the CW ID and look up the license?

I haven't done anything with CW since I passed my Novice exam in Nov of '90 lol But I suppose I could try. Then someone could check the FCC ULS, since my phone can't search it.

458.1125 Voice page for Mesa-area 2xx-series ambulances. (Southwest?)
Nothing heard on 453.1125, only 458.1125.

I've added the 458 to the scanner with the PL search, I'll let you know what I heard in my travels.

I don't believe it had a PL/DPL.

453.550 is a public works channel. Two guys were discussing a water line break inside a building, and how much water damage there was within the past hour or so. (1740 hours local right now.) I still don't have a location for it.

85.4 is the CTCSS I'm getting.

451.5625 (CTCSS 203.5)
"Base to Glendale 413."
413 was running a 10-27. I don't know if this is law enforcement or private security yet. No listing in the DB. Just caught it.
Possible multiple CTCSS/DCS on this frequency.

451.5375 or possibly 451.5875. Hospital or nursing home security? A person was dispatched to a specific bed in a specific room, due to a 9-1-1 call from that location. Edit: 451.5875 has a DCS of 125, and there was a notification of an ambulance due to arrive.

453.5875 (DCS 023) Law enforcement. The only listing in the DB says Benson PD (Cochise Co.) voting receiver link. The signal is noisy, but I doubt that I'm picking that up in Peoria.

453.225 is the State Fairgrounds channel. Duh, I should have known that when I posted it.
Anyone else try the 458.1125 Southwest Ambulance paging channel, or any of the 451 or 453 MHz security/law enforcement frequencies above?

451.5375 is licensed to 20+ businesses in the valley. Concentra health is one of the licensed users.
451.5625 is licensed 15+ businesses in the valley. One Glendale users is Glendale Community College. Maybe their security?
451.5875 is licensed to 20+ businesses in the valley. John C Lincoln Health and Concentra health are licensed users.
453.5500 is licensed to ASU. There is a transmitter on the ASU west campus. According to the license, Maintenance and special event operations.
453.5875 DCS 023 is likely Salt River PD. It is licensed to them, and the same DPL that they use on all freqs.

Thank you for the information. Not having a computer, makes it difficult to do an FCC ULS search.

QUOTE]

I have been hearing other users on the Fairgrounds channel in the last few months. The signal is weak and breaks up here on the west side. Before than all I would hear is DPS during the fair.

Since the coliseum is on the fairgrounds property, I'd venture a guess that it's used by workers there for various events, in addition to when the state fair is in operation.
What other users have you heard on it?

I think 453.550 has gone to MotoTrbo.
And, BTW, instead of resurrecting yet another old thread, lol, I'm going to mention that I believe the IAN Communications LTR Passport systems that a few of us have reported hearing PMT Ambulance, as well as school district bus communications on in the past, have disappeared. At the very least, I'm no longer getting the once every few seconds control blip on either 452.7375 (Shaw Butte) or 453.000 (White Tanks), which was indicative of an LTR Passport system.

*Sigh*, I'm dumb. 453.2500 is the state fairgrounds channel. I still don't know for surewho 453.225 is.
There is a listing in the Southwest Frequency Directory, 10th Edition for the City of Mesa Sanitation Department. This is circa 2009.

I monitor 453.225 occasionally. I have seen references to it as DPS "Metro 2" long ago. Recently I only hear bursts of data that are annoying, so I often have it locked out. It seems to be a repeater and very strong signal in the east valley. I have not heard voice traffic on this frequency.
