I am new to scanners and have bought a Uniden BCD160DN I have bought it so I can listen to Ham radio and UK CB radio. I have had no problems programming the repeaters but I cant seem to get the CB channels in every time I add one it changes the Frequencies E.G. Channel 1 for UK CB is 27.60125 MHz it lets me add it then changes it to 27.6000MHz I have tried changing the steps but had no luck. How do I add UK CB Channels. Any help would be of great use.

It's 1.25KHz off in frequency and doesn't matter in AM mode. It could very well also be up to a 1KHz error in the scanners frequency calibration. Those small errors in frequency shouldn't be a problem. The filters used in Uniden scanners are often 15KHz wide for narrow and 30KHz for wide modulation modes and a small 1KHz-2KHz error in receive frequency isn't critical.

It looks like I have bought the wrong ver. I should have bought

UBCD160DN UK Version

It will have an impact on warranty service, Uniden will not accept a BCD160 coming from another country. But the scanner have configurable step sizes and modes for each frequency range. Those frequency ranges will probably be different in the UBCD models. The problem with all Unidens EU models are that EU consists of several countries with their own unique individual frequency plan. Whistler have tried to make one bandplan for each country in their TRX scanners but are not something Uniden will do.

From the BCD160 user manual:

Automatic Channel Setup - accepts frequencies on any valid channel step, even if it does not fall within the band plan’s default steps.
