Get a parttime job mow yards, shovel snow, there are many ways to make money. I got a parttime job when I was 13 years old worked a year to pay off a pair of roller skates.
I do work. I work at a small retail store for minimum wage. It ain't the worst, getting about 100 a week, but most of it is being put into savings

Well, my parents got mad at me for showing them this and me wanting to buy it, mainly for the two tone decode and they are like what our fire department uses. I am still waiting till my pay day and them bad boys are mine. hopefully 😐
Why not put the money you would spend on the Kenwoods towards a 325P2? Much more versatile radio than two UHF handhelds.

True, but I also need two ways for when we go out on the shooting range, going hunting (in case of emergencies), as well as so I can communicate with my friend(s) (if any). As well as the fact that it is a pair that is for the price of one of those radios (normal pricing on ebay).

Cheap FRS (Family Radio Service) bubble pack radios are a good option for two-way, short range communications. Have fun whatever you decide to do.

I have some cheap frs radios, but I am wanting the kenwood radios so that I can have a radio with fire tone out, as well as programmability for the features required for my specifications.

And exactly what are those "specifications"??? I've seen you post about at least two things here and what the topic of the initial post was honestly ended up being nothing like where you ended up taking them.

The title of this was "Uniden BCD325P2". Now we're on to Kenwood commercial radios. Who's going program those commercial radios on your "legally licensed FCC assigned frequency" for you? How about you tell us what it is you're actually trying to do (perhaps in a different thread) instead of changing courses in the middle of ones you've started that honestly had nothing to do with what you're truly after. (OR, at least my 70 year brain can't keep up with all this). People here will gladly try and guide you in the correct, legal, direction however at least I have no clue what direction that is.

Other possibility is look on facebook marketplace, Ebay.

Currently the database in the link shows York as MODE D which is Phase I, a T means Phase II that the 325P2 can do. So since its Phase I now if you find one of the long discontinued models 396XT(in my picture is one) or the even rarer 396T will still work. Some say its better since it uses 3 AA's vs. 2 AA's in the 325P2 and just bell and whistle, eight different display colors in the XT.
XT/T models if you program by software you need a different cable than the included old style serial cable.
325P2 comes with a current USB style.
I could program it through the radio itself with the small amount I see listed for York in like 10 minutes, but I'm experienced doing that.

Granted if down the road they go to Phase II, than the 325P2 would work and the XT/T wouldn't.

and York County, Nebraska (NE) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

I will say as suggested previously about getting an old cheap laptop as Im sure there are a lot now with windows 10 no longer supported.
Pawn store?
Its not that difficult to install windows 11 on older hardware as the old PC im using here now I updated to windows 11 a month ago.

Does anyone have a Uniden BCD325P2 they would be willing to sell that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg? my max is about $200 or $250, but I can't go any higher. but let me know if you find a place selling them for around that price as well.
NopeNadda- Good luck at your price range! On Amazon, that 325P2 jumped up from $340 to $429.99 and other sources get $499.95 for it.
I do, however, see one Radioreference member thid from Austin, TX for $250 and he stated good condition with little use, and with a box so if I were you, I'd jump on it before it goes.
Best of luck and happy Thanksgiving.

i can see this running into "but i bought it with my own money"...
Yup. i also see it. I will probably keep them at my work place in my locker and tell only my manager. I am surprisingly allowed to bring my radios with me to work.
