Hello!,
I just got my scanner in the mail today, first system I programmed was the P25 system for Ottawa county Ohio. I let it scan and pretty soon the sheriffs office was keying the Mike and I was picking it up thru my scanner how ever after I put in my coventional frequencies as well I noticed it stopped picking up P25 I tired to see if I set something wrong on the p25 system.....I even reset the scanner and the programmed just the p25 in and still nothing . I'm at a loss of anyone can help it's appreciated

Set the CTCSS AND DCS search to NAC search. That may fix it.

And set the audio type to DIGITAL Mike

The op stated its an issue with conventional. We are awaiting his response.

That's not how I read it. He says he programmed a P25 system which worked, but when he added some conventional frequencies it stopped picking up the P25, and asked if there was something wrong in the P25 system.

To me, that implies that the issue is with the P25 system, but perhaps a clarification is in order.

the first system I put in was the p25 for Ottawa County, I put in the groups for the different departments, example I put the DEC 2001 in for Sheriff Dispatch, and for the rest of the departments, after I did that and added the conventional and I then noticed it was not picking up p25, I reset the scanner to factory programed the frequencies in for just p25 and did not put in the DEC and still nothing so I believe that would eliminate the conventional being the issue?

Then scroll to SRCH/CLOCALL OPT

Then Tone/Code Search.

Also do you hear digital noise or nothing?
