Egg (picture) inside of Homepatrol uncrypted firmware v2.04.01.
What is the software, "RIPER", that you used to get at that image file? Can't find any hits on Google. A fair amount of hits on some stuff related to photography, though. Type of image software?

Ah, is it something to fiddle with the firmware or some kind of image viewer? Curious, cause I've thought of poking at the firmware file for my BCD396XT, starting with writing a small Python script to parse the Motorola SREC format, but probably not much beyond that. Makes me wonder now if there's any surprises hidden in those bytes...

It's only image viewer. For firmware exist another my programm and it is called ScnUnpacker, and you will not find it in google too.

These bytes are hidden all the things that happens to the scanner :)

I tried it but when I turn the scanner back on its in close call mode, anyone know how to switch it back to scanning my systems/groups when I turn it on? And when am doing that feature that was posted by the OP it does not seem to go all the way up to 800 MHz, and that band is turned on for CC. The highest I think it went is 618 MHz.

Don't think there is a way to get it to auto go back to systems, you just have to turn off the Close Call manually after power cycling.

I noticed that it did not actually show up in the 800's when I tried it in an area with no 800 transmissions. It seems to be just showing what it is actually sensing. It not like a search or anything where it steps through frequencies.

my bct15 did that, but all i did was cycle the power and tap the scan/search, and it went back to scanning, and my close call setting returned to the custom way i have it set, hope this helps

turn on of extended command set.
enter to program mode.
inject the code to run the program from a specific address.
run the test code subroutine.
