I sure this has been asked many times, but the reason for my post is in hopes of getting the most current information.

I am interested in purchasing a Uniden Handheld. Digital is too rich for my blood so that seemingly leaves me with the BC246T. A good buddy of mine has the 330T and says the specs of on the BC246T are not as good as the 330T. Why would Uniden discontinue the better model (330T) in favor of one that has less to offer?

I guess my question is, if I am looking to spend $250-300 on a handheld what would I buy?

This shouldn't be as hard as it is to give Uniden my money...

Thanks guys!

I think the 330T did not sell real well or was perhaps not profitable at its price point so it was discontinued. Without a doubt the 330T is the superior radio between itself and the 246T. Everyone who has one seems to love them. As for what to buy....I would find a nice used 330T if I had $300 to spend and required a handheld and also wanted a Uniden. Nothing wrong with a 246T, but for another $50 or so even a used 330T would be my preference.

If $300 was the upper limit and it had to be a handheld I would find a 330T somewhere.

Good advice.
I have a 396T and it has never been used for APCO25 and I still love it.
