Uniden Repair Status

For those that might be wondering about repair times. I sent my SDS200 in to have the crappy display fixed on 11/28/2022. I received it back repaired today, 12/12/2022. That's two weeks, including shipping both ways. Keep in mind I shipped from the same county as the repair address.
So for, so good. Worst part is that it was "out of warranty" in their mind, and they charged me $94.95 for fixing something that was a known defect.

That's a bummer. I'm glad I sent my other radio in right away with that defect with the display backlight. The other radio was dropped and out of warranty, so I paid the same $94.

The turn around time wasn't too bad, it was just the lack of communication with Uniden that was irritating. They emailed me and said they had an issue with the payment details and I could never reach them to get it sorted. Apparently they figured it out because the radio arrived back to me this morning.

Noooo. I received a e-mail on the 8th said it was at Roanoke TX. Had to call 21st but was told they would send a e-mail, but I haven;t got one yet. Holidays too so not to worried.

Do they take return shipping out of the supplies credit card I wrote on the paper?

I was able to finally get info on the status of my scanner. Apparently it was on hold for non-payment?? I was told to leave the banking info blank and they would call when the info was needed. With the help of a supervisor they found it and banking info was given and hopefully be back within a week.

Yes I'll admit it was very poor customer service. I had to insist they look into it or they were just going to e-mail me again from the repair shop?? I told her this was my 3rd call, so she looked further and was able to find it. I'll update when I receive it.

What was wrong with your SDS200's display?
