UNIDEN SDS 100 upgrade keys

Hello,


I have recently purchased the Uniden SDS100.


I live outside the United States and understand that it is not possible to purchase the upgrade keys through the official Uniden website.


Could you please advise on the best way to purchase the upgrade keys at a reasonable price, and if there are any dealers who offer them without overcharging?

Ok, the reason I ask is the "E" version would be non-US dealers. All of them charge close to the same amount I believe (around $75 USD). Do you have any friends, family or co-workers in the US who could purchase the key from Uniden for you?

Unfortunately, I don't have any friends or family in the United States who can purchase the key for me from UNIDEN. Is there any other solution? I initially thought it was a key that you purchase online and enter as a code into the UNIDEN device. I didn't know it was so complicated. And the response from UNIDEN also surprised me. I'm attaching the company's response when I reached out to them

It is simple just Uniden does not sell to outside the US or Canada.
Scanner Master cost more but works the same.

so what is actually bearcat sds100 ? its the same device but more expensive ?

So what is the difference between SDS100 and SDS100E?

And all I really need is to find someone who lives in the United States who will agree to purchase the upgrade keys for me with their credit? Do I understand correctly? The keys are virtual and are sent by email after payment and I'm just supposed to put them into the device?

The E version is for outside the United States.

I was digging my old emails and I want to clarify that I used PAYPAL to successfully paid an upgrade with it.

The key arrived immediately in an email and I inserted it into the radio.

I am sorry, I thought I used credit card. But anyway, Uniden Australia has better payment options than Uniden USA.

I would appreciate some guidance, friends... I admit I got confused. Initially, I contacted the official UNIDEN office in the United States with a question, but since they don’t deal with customers outside of Canada or the U.S., they referred me to their distributor named Avera Distributing. However, it turns out that Avera Distributing sells the Uniden SDS100E models, and I was told by them that the Uniden SDS100 models sold in the U.S. are blocked on certain frequencies, whereas the Uniden SDS100E models sold by Avera are open to all frequencies, according to a representative from Avera Distributing. I admit I got confused myself... I was also told that another difference between the SDS100 model and the SDS100E model is the bandplan settings. I have no idea what that means, and I would appreciate it if someone could elaborate on that and explain? Additionally, are there really frequency blocks in the UNIDEN SDS100 devices?


Additionally, I would appreciate knowing what each of the following upgrades means: DMR, NXDN, ProVoice, Waterfall Key, and DPMR.

BTW, going back and forth...(Re: my earlier messages) I might have used an New Zealand address for some reason. There is one as "delivery address" on my Paypal receipt...hmmm. If so, I just got one from Google Maps. They might only "deliver" to AUS and NZ. It doesn't matter, because of email delivery. Again this worked just fine a year ago!

I don't see that. I see the USDS100, which is the Australian version.

Maybe people don't understand, their are 3 versions of the "SDS100"...

SDS100 NA/US version
SDS100E European version
USDS100 Australian version

Each has it's own FW and upgrade keys.

If you do have the USA version SDS100, other non-USA residents have purchased the USA version upgrade keys through Scanner Master using a non-USA credit card at this link:
