Sentinel: Uniden Sentinel on Windows 11

Hello All,

I had been running my radio stuff in Windows 10 virtual machine running in Parallels on a Macbook Pro. It it time to get a dedicated laptop for radio stuff, but some of the models that I'm considering are Windows 11 only.

Has anyone confirmed that Sentinel works on Windows 11?

Works for me in the particularly difficult case of Windows 11 for ARM running inside Parallels on an M1 Mac.

IMO windows 11 is just different colored lipstick on the same pig. I have 11 on my surface pro 3 pad which I program my sds200 with, also has proscan on it. My desktop also has both on it with windows 11. Absolutely no issue found so far with either.

Did you try from BCDx36HPSentinel < UnidenMan4 < TWiki ?

If Sentinel does not install, you need to enable net 3.5 framework. It should download if the net 3.5 framework is enabled or not. What is your Internet service provider?

How do I install 3.5 Framework on Windows 11?


Enable the . NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel

1. Press the Windows key. on your keyboard, type "Windows Features", and press Enter. The Turn Windows features on or off dialog box appears.
2. Select the . NET Framework 3.5 (includes . NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box, select OK, and reboot your computer if prompted.

If you can't load Sentinel on a Win 11 (or 10, etc) machine, you have something set wrong on the machine, not getting .net set up correctly, or using an ISP that is blocking certain ports.

Give is much more info and I'm certain that whatever issue can be figured out. It isn't rocket science

Oh, I’m sorry your drive is sad. Perhaps get it an SSD friend to cheer it up!

I swapped out my SATA HDD for a SSD drive and it's amazing how much better my computer performs. Boots fast, finds files fast. Surprisingly (to me) even though the HDD had slowed down significantly it passed every hardware and firmware test I ran.

Oh, and 1TB SSD is dirt cheap these days.

finally did had to change text language on my computer from french to english usa

Hi to all i did try to install centinel on my laptop on windows 11 and it give me a error that the database is mistmatch it use to run fine be for but last week i did try to update the master data base and it fail so i did remouve centinel and did a new installation of centinel and it not working at all always the mistmatch for the data base .

If your scanner uses a microSD card, that sounds like the SD card may be going bad. Try a new card.

This is error that i have i dont think is my sd card but sumthing is missing in centinel programme this is some screen shot of the 2 error that i have went i install centinel on windows 11 but like i say it was working find until i did try to update the master data file .

Do you have frameworks 2.0 and 3.5 installed,if your text language is in french it w on t work either.use english usa.that s the trouble i had i m from canada sentinel w ont take french text ,also your anti virus must allow this app to roll
