Sentinel: Uniden Sentinel on Windows 11

This is error that i have i dont think is my sd card but sumthing is missing in centinel programme this is some screen shot of the 2 error that i have went i install centinel on windows 11 but like i say it was working find until i did try to update the master data file .

The database is on the SD card, if Sentinel can't read it properly, you could get that error. Especially since it used to work and now isn't.

Make sure you are using Sentinel v2. 03

See if this will work:
Using the File Explorer, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Uniden\BCDx36HP_Sentinel\Database then delete all the files in that folder.
Restart Sentinel

For those who also run other radio programming software, there are other issues with USB drivers that work on Win 10 but not Win 11. A recent Icom purchase prompted me to buy the RT Systems CPS because their cable does work with both after the standard USB cable for the radio failed on 11.

I think you're talking about serial port USB converter and cable. Sentinel doesn't use the serial port. The OP was asking "Sentinel works on Windows 11? " There are no known issues with Sentinel on Win 11. The problem Rolly23 is having has everything to do with the database files on the computer and nothing to do with the USB cable from the computer to the scanner.

{edit} There are a few bugs in Sentinel but they are not OS specific.

If Sentinel does not install, you need to enable net 3.5 framework. It should download if the net 3.5 framework is enabled or not. What is your Internet service provider?

How do I install 3.5 Framework on Windows 11?


Enable the . NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel

1. Press the Windows key. on your keyboard, type "Windows Features", and press Enter. The Turn Windows features on or off dialog box appears.
2. Select the . NET Framework 3.5 (includes . NET 2.0 and 3.0) check box, select OK, and reboot your computer if prompted.

I had the same problem, the .NET directions above worked great. Thanks for the information. Matt
