Here are some groups I monitored from Halifax Int'l Airport on 20090911 during a stopover. Only tracked with Unitrunker; no real indication of their use.

Some are listed as having been seen on both sysids/sites below.
Apologies if they're already mentioned in this thread.

On 6D19, site 25 NUTTBY:
10256
10928
14288
15184
16688
17872
21616
22848
38096

On 6919, site 41 MUSQIT:
4880 (EHS radios seen here)
7312 (RCMP radios seen here)
10256
10968
13168
16880
18928
56512
57600
57696
58176
58208
59232

I believe the 5xxxx ones on the 2nd system are police of some nature or would be working with a police service. It appeared as if one radio was affiliating (joining) and dropping from multiple police TGs in sequence, as if the user was twisting the channel knob out of curiosity. Thanks, whoever you are! ;)

You're correct on the 5xxxx talkgroups, those plus the 6xxxx talkgroups are mostly all RCMP or Halifax Regional Police talkgroups.
A lot of stuff in the 1xxxx and 2xxxx ranges are commercial users. Of the talkgroups you've listed, the only ones I know for sure are:

17872 - Town of Truro police
4880 - EHS Northwest - which is interesting you saw radio affiliations, since this is an unused talkgroup, however it's still in their radios. Sometimes used for major incidents.
58176 - Halifax Regional Police COM2 (common)
58208 - Halifax Regional Police COM3

57600 and 57696 are both Department of National Defence talkgroups, but I don't have my DND list with me so I'm not sure exactly what they are. For some reason I'm thinking 57696 are the dockyard Harbour Patrol vessels...

Right, now that I've got my list in front of me, 57600 is CFB Halifax fire, 57696 is 12 Wing fire - the harbour patrol vessels are on 57440. Thanks ve1sef :)

Monitored this morning of of Site 14 Clarence;

5968
6096
7328 (logged hits all night so likely Public Safety oriented)

In Bridgetown for a few days on Vacation so my monitoring time is limited. Trying to nail these down.

My Psr 500 picked up talkgroup 57216, its digital. It got garbled after a while so might be encrypted. I dont know what it is.

Also found a control channel on freq 794.4375 but dont have the gear to analyze it:(

I would suggest that is not a legit control channel but rather a image from cc's in the 800 MHz area. I get the same thing here in Winnipeg. If I do a scan of the 764 -790 MHz range I am hearing the CC's and tg's chatter from the 800 MHz systems we have here.

Just to add ,try doing a search of that 790 & up and hit the pause key if you hear any chatter. See if you recognize any of it to be the same as the NS provincial system.

I'm making another trip out to NS land in probably October. I'm going to defiantly bring my Trunk88 setup and get this stuff sorted out. I'm pretty hopeful that I'll be able to get you guys every site with it's control channel (and maybe alternate) as well as site numbers and site alias. Don't know how much I'll be able to do with the talk groups and radios, but I'll be sure to post everything I get.

We pretty much have all of the site numbers, control and alternate control channels, but the aliases would be good, since they're often not what I expect them to be!

This thread doesn't appear to be active any more but it's stickied so I through this one into the mix:

Northern Guysborough County - talkgroup 7184.

VERY active. Analogue, no info about it anywhere online. Ideas?
