I've been using Unitrunker for some time now to log the control channel. I am now interested in recording with Trunking Recorder. I have 3 P25 sites I monitor and wish to record. Normal traffic load is 2 voice frequencies per site, up to 4 when busy. I would like to setup 3 voice paths per site, totally 9. Where do I find that number of Virtual Audio Cables? are there better audio routing options available? How is one supposed to keep track of all those VACs? Does anyone have a setup like this?

Also, I am not interested in streaming: Trunking recorder software acts like a database for recorded files, correct? Stand-alone? Recording files accessible from outside the software, I.E. Windows media player? Auto-delete, too? I am only interested in using for my own personal use.

In case anyone asks, I do have a powerful enough computer: Intel i7 with 16 GBs RAM.

Another question, too, can I use the Control Channel Output from my 996p2 and feed Unitrunker 2.1 with it? How does that work through USB or headphone jack? Thanks

No. UT 2.x only works with one of the supported dongles as the receiver.

Yes Trunking Record is ideal. Stores data into a MS SQL database. All this localy.
