Hi everyone. I'm not new here but I never really need help with my scanners to post here often. Here's my issue: I tried an old version of unitrunker several years ago and everything went fine. Now I'm trying again with my BCD996XT and I don't get it! Hahaha! What I have on my screen is not what I see on others posts.

I think my setup is fine but I don't get all the info of the system I got with older version and analog scanner.

Anyone?

Thanks a lot!

Sorry I can't figure out how to paste a screenshot...

PM "Unitrunker (The username)" with some details!
I don't have a lot of experience with Unitrunker (the software) myself, and Im not quite sure what you are saying.

If your trying to program your 996XT, download "Freescan" and make life easy.... then you can download what you need from Radio referance.. \.. :D

I don't have any problems programming my scanner. I'm also a premium member. The only thing I need is to decode a control channel and get all the info from it. I decode something but I don't get all the info like I got in the older version of unitrunker.

Your master site
Since this is a more advanced topic you're not going to get the right help in the New User forum so I'm moving out to a more appropriate place.

What do you expect to see?

Unitrunker does not map all the frequencies of an Edacs system? I'm on the control channel and it asks me for a frequency on top. Also I don't have anything in Audience and Source Label fields.

Thank you!

You have to manually enter the edacs frequencies, that's the way edacs is.

As far as entering the group names and stuff you need to configure your rr account in unitrunker and set the system id for it to pick it up.

Ok so I entered the edacs frequencies for the system in unitrunker.

I can't find where I have to configure my rr account in the software.

For EDACS, the program needs the number used by the RR DB to identify the system you're monitoring. Find that number from the DB. It's at the end of the URL in your web browser's location bar when viewing the system web page.

Back to the program, go to the System window's Info tab and enter the RR DB SID number.

Click the download button. You will be prompted for your RR DB credentials.

Now I'im trying to follow voice on a P25 system. I have one 996XT for the data (works fine with disc. tap) and an other 996XT for voice purpose with the serial cable on com port 1. I read a few posts on RR about the setup but I can't hear the audio. In the options field, listen is enabled and priority is set to 1. Receiver is set to control and voice and set manually on the cc freq.

Did I miss something in my setup?

Yes, set the listening priority to a number equal to or greater than the priority of the groups you want to hear. The default listening priority is 50. Unless you've edited your groups or the default, all groups will be set to 50 (and ignored).

The voice receiver need not be set to the control channel. You can set a park frequency to NOAA or some other conventional channel.

Does the radio respond to the park frequency?

Can you post an image of the receiver window for the signal and voice radios?

The Alt and PrtSc keys will take a snapshot of the active window. Paste the image into a program like MS Paint and save to a JPEG or PNG file. Upload here.

No the radio does not respond to the Park freq.

Ok 9600 is the last one I tried. I was on 115200 earlier without success

I'm back to 115200 on the scanner and the software.
