Just updated the computer from V1 to V2.

Tracking the NJICS from Cape May County.

I can see the peers under the tab - but no control channel frequencies are displayed on each per site line.

I thought there was a way to reset this so it displays correctly but cannot find the right thread.

Any help would be appreciated.

The author of UT V2 has asked users to limit the discussion about the program to the Google Groups Forum he has. There are many really knowledgable people, including the author of the program who will be happy to help you in the Google Group.

Okay thanks - will post there. Was not aware of the limitation.

Thanks

When you get accepted into the google group, make sure to include pictures that explain your question. I'm only guessing, but you are probably seeing channel numbers instead of frequencies via the Peers tab. Since individual sites *may* have different band plans (not common), only the channel number is shown until you physically tune that site with an available radio (sdr.) You obviously would need to be within range of the site to tune it reliably. If you know the band plan (which is *probably* the same as Cape May), you can do some math and determine the frequency.

NJICS uses the same band plan systemwide. It's very rare for a P25 system to have a different band plan per-site within the same zone (RFSS).

Anyway, the fix is to go to the Band Plan tab of the site window, then click the red lightning bolt button (Push to all sites). The Peers tab of the site window will now show the control channel frequency. Note that when you bring up the Sites window of the system itself, you will only see the control channel LCN, not the frequency. This is a bug that hasn't been fixed yet.

And yes, the Google group is the preferred method of getting support with UT v2.1, as it has not been released publicly yet.

Actually I have been manually entering in the Cape May site 9 control channel into UniTrunker. Once I start the Airspy everything populates correctly except for the Peers tab which used to show the peer sites and their active control channel. Nothing fancy here just learning the basics.

Thanks for the input

Yes I saw this one and the Group post. Thanks --- this is exactly the issue I am having and I saw the solution before but for the life of me - could not find it.

The Peers tab is the one I am looking for with the freq data so I am good now.

Thanks for both replies.

Don't do that. Stop the receiver, go to the VFO tab, set the Manual frequency field back to 0.0, then use the Pick Site button (looks like a calendar) to select the system/site/control channel. That will lock the VFO to the control channel and will disable discover, which can lead to wonky decoding when enabled.

Yes, that's what I had assumed you did based on your description of the issue as you mentioned Cape May. The UT program cannot calculate control channel frequencies of Peers / Neighbor sites from the LCNs advertised on the CMC control channel as it does not know the band plan of the adjacent site.

Understand now. I did the method you suggested and all is fine.

Is there anything we have to do in order to be added to the google group besides the request on the google page?

You have to right click on the link, then select "Save Link as" and follow the prompts.
That's what I did and it does not work. I have been using UT 2.0 for a long time and am quite familiar with downloading via that method .

http://www.unitrunker.com/v2/download/UniTrunker-2.1.0.104.msi from google group works
https://www.unitrunker.com/v2/download/UniTrunker-2.1.0.104.msi posted here is not working

The link in the google group works for me. The link posted here yields a network error as shown below.
