I posted this also on the Georgia forum, I am hearing a lot of traffic on 409.150 does anyone known the sourse.

Might be Veteran's Administration. Or US Postal Service. They use freqs in and around 409 and 410 MHz.

If you hear it early in the morning it could be comming from Savannah Ga Military installation. I've heard it in the past in Greenville. Conditions have been good lately for UHF short skip.

It sounds like a correctional facility. But i do not known of any federal prison in the CSRA area are close by. I known it not the medical prison, this state.

There is a federal prison in Estill SC that uses 400 MHz
