Upcoming trip to Orlando/Disney. What is in the clear to listen to besides OFD/OCFR?

Planning out frequencies to listen to. Any good ideas for stuff to listen to when I'm there? I won't be bringing my scanner with me, just my Kenwood NX300 and my FT2DR.

For conventional stuff about the only thing that comes to mind is railroad on conventional VHF FM. CSX runs a rare train through Orlando at night, but mostly it's SunRail commuter stuff.

CFRC (Central Florida Rail Corridor) Orlando subdivision
AAR041 - 160.725 road
AAR097 - 161.565 dispatcher
AAR066 - 161.1 Taft yard SR528 x Orange Avenue

CSX JA dispatcher (Sanford subdivision brackets the Orlando sub to the north and south)
AAR032 - 160.59 MHz road
AAR054 - 160.92 dispatcher

Walt Disney World DOES have some clear channels to listen to, but only a handful. Universal Studios the same.
Most if not all law enforcement is ENC in the Orlando area. If you do like to go to malls and listen to employees gossip with each other, use the close call feature, but since you won't be bringing scanners, that won't do you much good.

that is absolutely not true. there are several exceptions to the law... one primary one being a licensed amateur radio operator.

Maybe you should say it's true with certain exceptions, but not absoutley not true. Otherwise what you're saying is not true, right?

I read the law, so as long as you don't tune your scanner to monitor any law enforcement or fire Dept signals you can carry a scanner in your car?
Agreed. It only mentions who is allowed to carry a scanner in a vehicle if tuned to emergency service frequencies.

debating this on the side of the highway when you are pulled over is utterly pointless. run across Johnny Lawman and you are in for a treat.

No debating should occur on the side of a highway. That's what the courts are for.
