HP-1: UPDATE 2 HP-1's

I have 2 HP-2's and I use sentinel to program and update them with no problems on my PC. I have the same channels on both my HP-2's and when attached to Sentinel, they are recognized as separate scanners.
A friend asked me to update the databases and firmware on her two HP-1's.
When I hooked them up to my computer via the cable, my Sentinel wouldn't recognize them.
I have to think there is a way to update these HP-1s but I just don't know how to do it and I'm afraid of screwing up Sentinel for my HP-2's by trying different things I'm not sure of.
I tried downloading another Sentinel hoping I could have a separate version for the HP-1's but that didn't work.
If someone knows how to do this, I would really appreciate the help

It should have worked if what you were trying to do is update the friends radios with your setup.

I would either use the clear user data option, where you might need to hunt for the drive, and maybe do it with a card reader instead of the radio as long as you are not doing firmware.

You could also just format the cards using sd formatter program (free) and then use the clear user data option to install the right files, and then do a frequency files to radio (card) once that is done.

In any case, I have 2 hp2's and an hp1 and update them all off the same database.
