Not sure if its related but earlier I was using @ProScan , prior to seeing Sentinel wont connect, I downloaded some conventional analog freqs and Proscan did download the recent changes and additions but every conventional analog freq comes up with a color code of 0.

The IP Address for ftp.homepatrol.com is 69.15.51.147. If you are lucky enough to be able to manipulate DNS, I can confirm it works.

Just trace routed that IP...
Hops are real show (when it hits TX), but I can get to it....

Same here. I was installing Sentinel on a friend's new computer and showing her how to update her 436.
Spent an hour of frustration (and embarrassment) trying to figure what that message meant. I was convincing her just how easy updates can be done!

The problem is with the Amazon Webservice's DNS server(s).

Looking at the whois entry for ftp.homepatrol.com it shows a change was made today.

I update my database manually as I use Linux
No problems here. I just used ftp.uniden.com instead. Same IP address.

Working for me now. Server is now up and reachable.
