The new Sarpy County P25 system has had a few updates in the recent month and weeks, and has been operating in a more "active" manner!

1) The System ID has changed to the expected 0144 value but the Site ID has remained at the 124 value... the control channel has remained at 859.78750.

2) At this time, TGID4001 appears to be "Law East" as it's handling the usual Bellevue PD traffic and TGID4003 appears to be Law West as it's handling that traffic.

With the increased number of sites and geographical layout of the towers, I am able to reliably listen to the system in east central Cass county with nothing more than the portable antenna connected to my Uniden 436, and that's inside houses and buildings!

The audio quality is VERY good, and the system isn't even running Phase 2 TGs just yet. On the Washington County part of the system where Fremont PD operates, the Phase 2 audio almost has that "piercing" quality, though it is VERY clean-sounding as though you were sitting next to the dispatcher.

It's only a guess on my part, but considering the amount of time it's been on the air in "testing" mode, I would say that it won't be too long before departments are going to start moving from the old system to this new one.

I know we have an previous thread where a lot of observations were logged, but let's keep this thread going and log new TGIDs as we find them.

TGID 4009 Bellevue Fire, TGID 4186 Bellevue Fire? wondering if each fire station has it's own TGID? TGID 4059 IS Nebraska Medicine Bellevue, I've been hearing Papillion Fire Dispatch on TGID 4049

Another TGID - 4002 is LE Information.

I've been hearing Bellevue Fire and Rescue dispatch also on 4049, so I think TGID 4049 is probably Countywide Fire/Rescue Dispatch, similar to the 39824 TG on the old system.

Anyone have new information for Fire West / Gretna Springfield? I am using TGID 203 and getting nothing...

Answered my own question here - Ran a discovery tonight and picked up a Gretna fire call on TGID 4050. It would appear that is "FIRE-West".
Also Picking up Encypted traffic on 4002, 4012 and 4250.

Here are talkgroups that were picked up since Sunday (can't remember if I rebooted at least once where the times may or may not be off). I would focus on the talkgroups with 10 or more hits that I marked unknown or are blank. I put red boxes in the encrypted channels.

I have noticed lots more traffic on this new system... the old Sarpy system is still alive... but hardly any traffic logged in the last 48 hours...

I am listening to TG 4038, (on the new P25 system) and it sounds like SC Sheriff.... some sort of TAC channel?? .. sounds like they are doing some kind of escort on I-80 near the outlet mall... on a Football Saturday........ Maybe a n escort to Lincoln???
or maybe this TG (4038) could be NSP on this system???

I am using a Uniden Home patrol 2... running is Trunk Discovery Mode :geek:

Just an update... I seems the OLD Sarpy County (Motorola) system is gone... anybody else notice this?... sometime yesterday , the control channel frequency just went off the air  .... the Sarpy County (Motorola) old radio system appears to be gone.

There has been a LOT of updates to the RR database... and seems like the NEW P25 system is really taking off now....... just wondering if anybody else noticed the old system off the air?

TG 4038 is LVPD TAC 1

Haven't been monitoring the old system for a few weeks now...I wouldn't be surprised if it's off the air. RIP. It was a great system.

Edit: LVPD TAC 1 has been patched to METRO 1 and with NSP several times. You'll see radio IDs like 131907 or 12468 (NSP/OPD respectively) on those patches. I'm really interested to see how everything melds together. There's already steady Omaha Fire traffic on TG 444 (Omaha Fire Tac3) on the Sarpy system, and about a week ago, Ralston Fire came down and filled in for some Papillion Fire units and they integrated almost seamlessly into the system. I'm excited to see how this all integrates.

I have duplicate talkgroups on the system - 4061. Based on submissions, its either SO or Fire, if anyone can let me know which (if either) is correct.

I noticed that on my last update submission, but forgot to mention. I have 4061 as FIRETAC 16. Confirmed today with a Bellevue FD run to the water/sewer plant on Harlan Lewis.

If you need, I can submit it as such.

edit: swapped some words around because I'm a goofball.

Anyone have a lead on TG for FireGround 24 ? This is the new primary FG for Gretna FD, I haven't been able to catch it in discovery mode.

I'm don't have my notes or UT near me right now (will later tonight and I'll reply again) but FIRETAC 24 has been a weird one. I think I have it, and if I do, I'll submit it/post it, but I've noticed that Gretna is really hitting up an encrypted TG whenever they're dispatched to ANY call (I thought I heard them call it Ops 2 once, but I may have been mistaken). It's really kind of a shame.

I have TG 4077 TENTATIVELY ID'd as FIRETAC 24. Not sure enough of it to submit it to the database because I haven't heard enough traffic to really nail it. TG 4250 is the encrypted TG Gretna Fire uses so very often now. Haven't seen dispatch or even Springfield Fire on that one, although I still have many RIDs that I haven't equated to units yet. Still working on it.

If you are hearing actual ORION talk groups on sarpys P25 system that could mean the Sarpy P25 system is now apart of ORION. To verify this someone could run a control channel decoder and see what neighboring sites if any show up.

I see Douglas County Simulcast as a part of Sarpy P25 system and Sarpy's only Simulcast site as a peer inside of ORION. System ID and Zone are the same but the site is different.

Yup. On Sarpy it shows Douglas County Simulcast as a neighbor/peer in UT. I have seen/heard OFD TGs, both FDMA and TDMA (it was either OFD TAC 4 or TAC 6 that was using TDMA during an apartment fire a day or two ago) used and even heard Gretna Fire talking to Lifenet on ORION Metro Helo TG 342 the other day when they had to get a helo to a overturned truck out in west Sarpy. I can get more details once I get back home tonight.

All of this with my SDS100 and UT with a dongle sitting on 859.7875.
