Ansonia Fireground 2 should be DPL 431 (which the main channels, T/A and FG-1 are) and the X-band repeater should be the same frequency with 192.8. Sounds like our portables are *^*&%*&^*(& again!!

Let me confirm and go over to the firehouse and see what is what. Maybe they changed it again................... and again.........

New shelton pubworks

I'll put it in my scanner again to see if its active or not. The license is expired the last I knew.

Haven't heard anything on that freq lately.

I know that the town cars have the ants on the roofs. Heard one time City Hall to Car 54 while in Derby, but spotting for a driver, so...

I know the new rads have the gps onboard. They might have put all new ones in the city inspector cars and such. When I go by city hall some day I'll see if the cars still have the vhf ants on them, easiest way to tell. Maybe they're using the tbo system to cut back on cell phones and such easeir to get in touch with their respective offices, if they have separate chs. I couldn't find it under the fcc under city of shelton unless it just hasn't been published yet!

Now to wait for pd to disappear! LOL

Best to all,
shawn

I can confirm Fireground 2 151.0625 is a PL of 192.8 in the portables, they do not use the DPL on fireground 2 at all.
Not sure if or when they changed but I program all the radios for ARMS and we got the info from the FD to program our VHF radios and thats how they are, we have talked on FG 2 during drills with rescue 4 and it has worked fine.

I made the change to fireground 2, is the dpl for fireground 1 still correct?

I haven't had time to go to the firehouse to check the portables and the mobile on the engine. I know they had put a cross band VHF-hi to UHF repeater in use on two of our trucks so we could communicate with the area departments on UHF and were using Fire-ground 2 for that when necessary. So its possible that they did either change the PL for use X-band repeater or added the frequency with the standard analog PL. The problem is was originally I was told originally the frequency would have two separate channels, one for fire-ground one for the x-band, using the same frequency but different PLs. Of course as things go in this town, what they tell you and what they actually do are two separate things.

I haven't been around much since I got injured during the summer. I'm just getting back there again, I'll try to confirm what is going on so we all have the correct information on what is on the Fire radios.

GOT TO LOVE THE VALLEY!!

Okay, here's what I got so far for Ansonia. On the truck radio Fireground 2 is programed for PL 198.2. However one or two of the portables are still programed for DPL 431 (maybe missed). The repeater, talk-around and Fireground 1 are all still DPL 431. Trying to get the skivy on what is going on, Jon is right about the re-programming. I still think its for the VHF-to-UHF x-and repeater use since analog PLs work better (or are the norm).

Seems like I'm the last to know everything and anything going on nowadays!
