By Lionville Fire Company December 21, 2010 In the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 0010 hours Chester County 911 alerted the volunteers from Stations 47, 48 (Glenmoore), and Tower 61 (Kimberton), to assist Station 73 (Ludwigs Corner) on Box 73-11 for a reported house fire in the 100 block of Magnolia Drive, Upper Uwchlan Township.

Upper Uwchlan PD quickly arrived on location and advised the responding fire departments of a working fire. The PD was also able to ensure the house was evacuated. Deputy 47 (Chapman) was the first arriving fire officer reporting a 2 story single family dwelling with smoke showing on side A (front of house). Chief 73 (Guth) arrived next and establish command.

Engine 47-2 (FF B. Edwards) was first arriving engine securing it's own water supply from the hydrant at the corner of Fellowship Road and Magnolia Drive. The engine crew advanced an attack line into the first floor to find fire in the laundry room and kitchen area. Tower 47 (FF Tolento) arrived behind Engine 47-2 splitting the crew to throw ground ladders and supporting interior fire operations. Engine 73-2 arrived behind the Tower and immediately teamed up with interior crews. Second attack line from Engine 47-2 was pulled to second floor to check for fire extension. All searches proved negative and fire was contained to laundry room and kitchen area. Units operated for over 2 hours.
