Keep listening to the Interop channels. Every Halloween, the USMS and local PDs team up to visit the residences of convicted child molesters to ensure compliance with their court compliance status. The convicted molesters are under court orders to not hand out candy to children, to have their outside lights off, and to not decorate the exterior of their residences.

Yes sir...years ago I’m driving the interstate! I hear a USMS unit give his position and number of prisoners onboard! I pass a white passenger van, reinforced mesh on the windows just as the driver ends his transmission.

That is the essence of nearly every job, most of the time they are not the fodder for feature films. It' just about slugging it out every day, doing your part to be a good hand on a great big ranch and taking satisfaction from that.

Law enforcement is often described as "endless periods of abject boredom, interrupted by moments of sheer terror!"
