USB Cable Incl. with Latest GRE Scanners

Just want to confirm...

Is the USB programming cable that comes with the GRE PSR-500/600 the same as the Radio Shack USB Cable (20-047)....except for the 3-to-2 pole adapter pigtail?

I have a GRE USB cable that came with my PSR-500. A co-worker wants me to program his Radio Shack PRO-2096 for him. Can I do it with this cable or do I need some sort of adapter in order to use it?

I am currently using my RS cable to program my PSR-600, so yes they are the same. I have not even used my GRE cable yet as the RS works fine. So yes, you can program the 2096 with the GRE cable. They are the same thing other than color and labeling.
