Hey everyone, I've been looking for info on what freq's the coast guard is using down in the LA area. But i have only been able to find info for the east coast and really general info for the rest of the US. Are there any certain Fed LE, IR, or CG Net channels that the use more than others?

I had a feeling that's the answer i was gonna get. Like i said in my original post are there any certain ones that are used in the Los Angeles/Long Beach Sector? i'm sure they don't use all of the Fed and CG Nets on a regular basis.

They have access to all of them. Some Sectors/Stations change/move around others stay on one NET. Just because it's not in the wiki, only means no one has taken the time to add them. Spend a little time searching, as they are the only ones you will probably find on those channels.

Don't forget the Federal Mutual Aid / Interops, they hide there too :D

Not to had to find em, with a few minutes searchin'

From the Los Angeles South Bay area, mostly what I hear is:

0156.8000 FM - Marine Channel 16 (Emergency Hailing)
0157.1750 FM - Marine Channel 83A (Communications between Helicopter and Station to secure guard)
0345.0000 AM - Coast Guard Air Ops

Can you be more specific as to what you mean "D-Net" ???

CBP is changing the Alpha tags of their Radios from NET to DNET which only indicates for the Agent/Officer that the radio is now P25 vs Analog.

The USCG has their own Network of Channels. [Listed in the Wiki]
and ID as CG-xxx or NET-xxx depending on who/when last programmed.

The coast guard uses D Net as a DHS entity.
