Hey, I have a BCT15 and I am interested in listening to the USCG. Their station is just south of here. I have two frequencies programmed in, 157.050 USCG Air Operations, and 157.100 USCG Surface Operations. I am wondering if anyone has used these frequencies and if they have had any luck with picking USCG operations up. All I get off these two frequencies are sea warnings / weather alarts etc. Or if someone has frequencies for the Coast Guard around here I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks for your help.

Just a note, I want to be able to hear their helo ops for SAR, or ship boardings off the coast etc.

You've missed out on the most important frequency to have when monitoring the U.S.C.G VHF channel 16 156.800 mhz I bet you'll be able to hear some activity from Canada as well up in that area. If you need further assistance, post on here to me,or in private.

Side note: The coast guard activity around here is pretty non existent compared to when I lived in southeast Georgia.

Thanks, I programmed it in and within seconds I heard a coast guard cutter, but I haven't heard anything since. Thanks, and I will keep you posted.

Out here on the Atlantic the USCG also uses 162-174 Mhz channels, I would search for them as well. Our 25' patrol boat sign on around 7-7:30am, test on Ch.81 then switch to CG-08 to Test 162.0500 Mhz
